About Us

Learn more about our research group and what we study.

Who we are

We are a group interested in many psychological issues including visual perception, personality, cognition, and evolutionary approaches to mate choice. Much of our research focuses on the human face and highlights the important role of facial cues in communication and attraction.

We are part of the Department of Psychology at the University of Bath.

Many of our web experiments involve presenting computer‑manipulated faces to members of the public (like you!) and asking for ratings or judgments.

We have previously received funding from the Royal Society of London, the UK Academy of Science, which celebrated 350 years supporting UK science in 2010. To find out more, click here.
