Investigating modern day texting

Before you decide whether you would like to take part, please read the following information carefully.

What is this study about?

You are invited to take part in this online study that investigates modern day texting.

What will I be required to do?

You will read a series of texts and then rate their positivity or negativity. You will then complete a short questionnaire.

How long will it take?

The study will approximately take 15 minutes.

What will happen to my data?

The information that you provide in this study is entirely anonymous and confidential. You will not be asked to provide any identifying information. The anonymous responses will be accessible to the researcher and supervisor only for analytical purposes and stored securely on a password protected computer upon collection. This study is part of a Psychology second year research project at the University of Bath.

Can I withdraw from the study?

Yes. Your participation in this study is voluntary. You can withdraw from the study at any given point without having to give a reason. If you wish to withdraw you can simply exit your web browser. Once you have submitted your responses it will not be possible to withdraw your data as it will be anonymized. That is, we will not be able to identify your data to that of other participants.
